The development of Spitalfield Works will take place on a brownfield/demolition site situated along Commercial Street in Shoreditch, near Liverpool Street Station. The site comprises a row of disused and dilapidated two-storey shop units, as well as two additional single-storey shops.

On completion, Spitalfield Works will provide 26 city loft-type apartments, a flexible workspace hub, private office space, a fitness tuition centre and commercial units. The creation of roof terracing, amenity space, bin storage and landscaping works will further supplement the project.

FTSQUARED were not originally part of the project team but were requested to assist with several challenges the project faced. Following an in-depth review, a new project strategy was formulated and the overall economics of the development reassessed, FTSQUARED were subsequently, appointed as Project Manager and Employers Agent.

The project is due for completion during the winter of 2020.
